Role Description

The Security Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater London, responsible for maintaining safety, security, and professional conduct within luxury and high-profile environments. Day-to-day duties include:

The role involves liaising with venue staff, guests, and clients, providing a visible yet discreet security presence that supports the overall experience. The Security Officer will:

  • Complete incident reports
  • Follow established security procedures
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Support event security and close protection activities as required

This position requires consistent punctuality, attention to detail, and adherence to Clarendon Security’s standards of etiquette, presentation, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Strong situational awareness, risk assessment, and incident response skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including rapport-building with guests and clients in luxury or high-profile environments.
  • Professional presentation, consistent discretion, and a customer-focused approach to front-of-house and venue security.
  • Knowledge of security procedures, access control, surveillance practices, and relevant safety or regulatory standards.
  • Ability to work on-site for full-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proven reliability, integrity, and respect for confidentiality when handling sensitive information and situations.
  • Relevant security certifications or licenses (e.g., SIA licence or equivalent) and prior experience in corporate, hospitality, or close protection security are highly beneficial.
  • Basic IT literacy for using security systems and completing digital reports; additional language skills are an advantage.
