Security Officer – Goole DN14


Pay: £12.71 per hour

Location: Goole, DN14

Shift Pattern: Weekends (Saturday–Sunday, 06:00–18:00)

Start Date: ASAP


About the Role

The primary purpose of this Security Officer role is to support the contract, protect the client’s premises, assets, and personnel by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Key duties include monitoring and controlling access, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with assignment instructions while delivering a high-quality service.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Care

  • Greet and assist visitors, ensuring they are directed appropriately and feel welcome.
  • Address client concerns and complaints with professionalism and a proactive approach.
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Adhere to assignment instructions and record all activities on required documents, aligning with client and company quality procedures.

Work Performance & Quality Work

  • Report all Health & Safety issues as per company guidelines.
  • Conduct regular patrols (internally & externally) to identify security risks.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and review footage when needed.
  • Manage access control, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, documenting actions accurately.
  • Maintain precise records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities.
  • Collaborate with emergency services if required.

Equipment & Compliance

  • Ensure all assigned security equipment is maintained and used correctly (protective cases where required).
  • Wear full uniform as specified by the client, reporting missing uniforms to the line manager immediately.
  • Set the highest professional standards in work, customer interactions, and team contributions.

Essential Requirements

✅ Valid SIA Licence or certification in progress ✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills ✅ Flexibility to accommodate shift patterns as needed ✅ Ability to stay composed under pressure, especially during emergencies

Desirable (Optional) Experience

🔹 Prior security industry experience (preferred for 1-year minimum) 🔹 Familiarity with security protocols, surveillance systems, and equipment 🔹 Manual driving licence (for operational compliance)
