Security Officer
Frontline Security Officer - Temporary

Job Overview
To protect our customer's property, people, and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the customer
- Ensure service consistency aiding in the retention of the contract
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development
Main Duties
Operations
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of company policies, UK Law, and regulatory requirements (as directed by the Security Account Manager)
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties as defined in the assigned AI’s
- Proactively refer to and review AI’s to suggest amendments that improve service
- Maintain compliance with industry and statutory legislation, including:
- Front-line SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) – worn at all times
- SIA CCTV PSS Licence (required by customer)
- Contractually required additional training
- Follow all legal obligations and safety requirements
- Execute instructions and procedures respectfully without unnecessarily challenging authority
- Work in a systematic, orderly manner

Training
- Complete all required competency training
- Undertake extra training as directed by the Security Account Manager
- Use technology to achieve objectives and advance expertise through professional development
- Ensure licence renewals are initiated 16 weeks before expiry
Security and Health & Safety
- Immediately report any potential hazards or incidents
- Stay alert to threats in the environment to reduce disruption, loss, or damage
- Use common sense and initiative, involving colleagues when situations escalate
- Maintain professionalism in challenging scenarios and with customers
- Provide detailed incident notebook entries for incident reporting
- Adhere to schedules and demonstrate commitment to both Mitie and the Client
- Ensure check-call schedules are completed as stipulated in AI’s
- Coordinate with emergency services and Communication Centre for incident reporting
Required skills and experience
- Previous Security Experience
- Valid SIA License
- SC Clearance (desirable)
