Location: Smurfit Kappa, Stalybridge, SK15 3AR
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 39 hours per week
Shifts: Varied Days, Nights and Weekends (Typical start times 09:00, 17:00 and 22:00)
Requirement: Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence and Security Licence required
About The Role
We are looking for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team at Smurfit Kappa in Stalybridge.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and company assets. You will provide out-of-hours reception cover, monitor site activity, respond to incidents, and conduct both CCTV and foot patrols to ensure the highest standards of site security are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
- Manning the reception area during out-of-hours periods
- Monitoring CCTV systems and investigating any suspicious activity
- Conducting regular foot patrols across the site
- Answering incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently
- Responding to gate access requests and controlling site entry and exit
- Responding to alarms and security incidents in line with site procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and completing incident reports
- Representing both the company and client professionally at all times
- Supporting the overall safety and security of the site and its personnel
What We're Looking For

- A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- A valid Security Officer Licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Good observation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills for reporting and site administration
- Previous security experience is desirable
