Security Operations Center Analyst

SOC Analyst

£50,000–£54,000 per annum | Hybrid Role | 2 days per week in either Glasgow or Edinburgh

We are seeking an ambitious SOC Analyst to join a market-leading organisation within the energy sector, fulfilling a critical role in the transformation of their IT Security Team. This well-established company owns and manages critical national infrastructure, driving innovation through a forward-funded futureproofing program.

About the Role

As the Security Subject Matter Expert in your focal area, you will act as the primary Security Incident response agent when supporting incident remediation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Operate as the go-to technical and non-technical security adviser, lending support to the Security Team and broader organisation.
  • Uphold network security, maintaining compliance with IT and operational technology (IOT) frameworks.
  • Act as a proactive subject matter expert, driving best practices across security operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on incident response, including escalation and involvement with relevant reviews.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
