Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst – AI
Location: Sheffield, UK (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
Contract: Inside IR35
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled SOC Analyst – AI to join our Cyber Security team and support the monitoring, detection, and response of security threats targeting enterprise AI platforms. You will play a key role in identifying AI-specific attack patterns, developing detection use cases, and strengthening the organisation's security operations for AI-enabled environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate AI-related security alerts across enterprise environments
- Develop and enhance detection rules and use cases for AI workloads, LLMs, and AI applications
- Perform incident triage, analysis, containment, and response for AI security events
- Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Engineering, and AI teams to improve detection capabilities
- Monitor SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and cloud security platforms to identify suspicious activities
- Support threat hunting activities focused on AI and cloud environments
- Create incident reports, dashboards, and security metrics for stakeholders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of SOC processes, playbooks, and AI security monitoring

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) or Cyber Security Analyst role
- Strong experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar
- Experience in incident detection, analysis, response, and threat hunting
- Good understanding of cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Familiarity with AI/LLM security risks, attack techniques, and detection methodologies
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and Cyber Kill Chain
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have
- Experience securing AI/GenAI or Machine Learning platforms
- Knowledge of SOAR, EDR/XDR, and AI security monitoring tools
- Certifications such as SC-200, CompTIA Security+, GCIH, GCIA, CISSP, or equivalent
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience
