Temporary - 8 month Fixed Term Contract covering maternity leave

Hours: Full time, 5 days a week, 10 hours a day, 08:00 - 18:00
Pay: £15.63 ph
Are you a professional and customer-focused Receptionist looking to join a prestigious commercial site in the heart of the City of London? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to become the face of our client's business, delivering an exceptional visitor experience while supporting the daily operation of a busy corporate reception.
Working alongside the Site Manager and Loading Bay Officer, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment for visitors, contractors, and employees.
About The Role
- Deliver a first-class reception service, providing a warm, professional welcome to all visitors, staff, and contractors.
- Manage incoming calls and enquiries efficiently, ensuring a positive customer experience at every interaction.
- Control visitor access, carrying out sign-in procedures and ensuring compliance with site security protocols.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries, resolving issues wherever possible.
- Complete administrative duties, records, and documentation accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception area, taking ownership of the front-of-house environment.
- Support site safety and security by remaining vigilant, monitoring activity, and responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
- Assist with building events, visitor management, and any additional operational duties required by site management.

What We Are Looking For
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a front-of-house, hospitality, or reception environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with visitors, clients, and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills and confidence using email, Microsoft Office, and administrative systems.
- Ability to remain calm, confident, and professional when dealing with busy periods, incidents, or challenging situations.
- High standards of personal presentation, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to attendance.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team while supporting a positive workplace culture.
Desirable Qualifications
- SIA Licence.
- First Aid at Work Certificate.
- Previous experience within a corporate, commercial, or professional services reception environment.
