About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Security Sales Specialist to drive portfolio growth, partner with account teams and C-suite decision-makers, and champion high-value security deals as a trusted partner. This strategic, customer-facing role demands consultative acumen, pipeline leadership, and deep expertise to win complex enterprise sales across hardware, software, and specialist services.
Key Focus Areas: ✔ Pilot building senior-level relationships and expanding reference accounts ✔ Lead account strategising alongside internal specialists to replicate solutions ✔ Own high-pressure deals and deliver ahead of quota targets ✔ Act as HPE’s trusted advisor on security frameworks, compliance needs, and cost optimisation
Responsibilities
As a Security Sales Specialist, your mission is to grow revenue by:
Pipeline and Deal Management
- Craft and execute a 12–24 month pipeline plan to hit high-value sales targets, prioritising security priorities within the global account strategy
- Convert sales leads through consultative sales conversations, positioning HPE as partner—not vendor
- Leverage deep technical knowledge to close 3–10 deals annually averaging GBP £500k–£3M

Account Relationships & Strategy
- Expand engagements with existing clients, targeting upsell opportunities (e.g., bundling security products with edge/cloud services)
- Mentor Account Managers, driving alignment on security framworks—whether ***,
- Act as the multi-company liaison for onboarding giant corporates (e.g., aerospace, fintech*)
- Lead partner ecosystems/channels, securing deals with SI integrators
Market Education & Differentiation
- Stay ahead of competitors and internal product advancements, writing sales collateral to strengthen competitive edge
- Educate executives and procurement teams on HPE security frameworks, ROI projections, and technology convergence
Core Requirements
Experience & Education
- Minimum 5+ years in security product/solution sales, including:
- Enterprise environments (min. £20M revenue potential per contract)
- Hardware/software, services portfolios (e.g., SaaS, SOC-as-a-Service)
- Proven track record: consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas with multi-million-pound deals
- Bachelor’s in relevant discipline + or
- MBA or certifications (e.g., CISSP, Sellers Lab, Challenger Sale methodologies)
Skills
Technical & Commercial Skills: ✅ Mastery of cyber-security frameworks (NIST, ISO/IEC 27001), industry threats (e.g., ransomware, zero-day exploits*), and HPE’s product suite (e.g., Edge Services Platform, Aruba Network Analytics) ✅ Decimal into TCOs (total cost of ownership) and risk prices—converting jargon to business impact for CIOs, CISOs ✅ Forecast accuracy with tools like Siebel VerticalView or equivalents ✅ Routine familiar with project charters, contract structures (e.g., multi-year agreements*)
