About The Role
HPE is expanding its security sales capabilities and seeks an experienced Security Sales Specialist to lead high-value engagements. This strategic, customer-facing role integrates with account teams and senior decision-makers. Your expertise will support the development of long-term pipelines, 'partner-locked' solutions, and cross-functional collaborations.
Main Responsibilities
Growth & Strategy
- Drive and maintain a high-decision-value sales pipeline for HPE’s security portfolio
- Develop high-value account strategies and recurring revenue streams
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Account Managers, technical specialists) to tailor solutions
- Drive reference customer development and feedback-led improvement
Sales Execution
- Deliver complex security products (hardware, software, services) as trusted, outcome-focused partnerships
- Focus on contract renewal and upsell opportunities for high-growth accounts
- Act as a specialised advisor for select strategic customers, including global accounts
- Build C-level relationships and positioning for enterprise-wide solution adoption
Expertise & Goals
- Thoroughly understand IT frameworks, CIO priorities, and enterprise budgets
- Stay ahead of competitors, trends, and concurrent technologies
- Zap strategic value propositions and measurable outcomes for customer stakeholders
- Balance long-term planning with agile execution for predictable revenue growth

Responsibilities
Master-level strategic account sales objectives:

Build & Grow Pipelines
- Create high-impact sales pipelines to extend market share visibility in key segments
- Convert opportunities by revising consultative sales strategies
- Deploy customer-facing deal orchestration skills

Strategic Account Management
- Engage at C-level to influence strategic trends and value delivery
- Advise vertical segments on tailored solution architecture
- Defend market leadership through proactive senior stakeholder engagement

Market & Indusrty Leadership
- Maintain deep expertise in evergreen multi-faceted security solutions
- Align decision-making with HPE's enterprise journey from edge-to-cloud
- Support major upsell/retention initiatives with existing customers
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Five or more years of industry-specific security sales experience
- Proven history of achieving complex multi-million sales targets
- Demonstrated success selling cross-portfolio solutions (hardware, software, services)
- Experience mentoring or a leadership role in a high-value engagements team
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Information Technology, or related fields preferred
- Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) considered an asset

Technical & Domain Expertise
- Enterprise-grade security approaches: Authoritative knowledge across technology segments
- Heightened consultative skills for multi-year solution contracts
- Command of customer-centric analytics, financing frameworks
- Proven track record of reference customer development
Interpersonal & Strategic Skills
- Ability to engage at C-level and de-escalate objections confidently
- Strong budget negotiation and 'win alignment'
- Geographical awareness (ideally global) in large account execution
Operational Requirements
- Strong forecasting & CRM heritage proficiency (e.g., Siebel)
- Diverse agent partner integration experience
- Ability to effortlessly navigate ambiguity and challenges with prospects
