SECURITY SERVICE ENGINEER – WEST MIDLANDS

£45,000.00 per Year – Intruder & CCTV Technician


About the Role

Pay structure: £45,000 is OTE (On Target Earnings) – basic salary varies based on experience.

Key Purpose of the Job

To service, maintain, and repair intruder, CCTV, and access control systems following industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Service and repair intruder, CCTV, access control, andarlo con systems, ensuring they meet performance targets.
  • Exceed scheduled maintenance and fault-finding targets.
  • Demonstrate systems to customers, clarifying alarm causes/consequences (e.g., false triggers) clearly.
  • Participate in an On Call Rota for out-of-hours (OOH) callouts and telephone support.
  • Align with client needs to fulfil all maintenance/repair job requirements.
  • Adhere to reasonable additional management requests when necessary.
  • Uphold health, safety, and welfare standards in line with Kings Policy.
  • Fully implement and comply with company policies:
    • Information security.
    • Environmental and quality safeguards.
    • Health and safety protocols.
  • Protect proprietary assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or interference.

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in service and repair within the security industry.
  • Demonstrable expertise in systems such as:
    • Intruder panels: Galaxy, Castle, Aritech, Scantronic, Network/IP.
    • Analogue CCTV.
    • Modern skier systems (e.g., Gallav, Menvier &controls).
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence (checkable).
  • Verification of work history and suitable references.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction.
  • Good customer service attitude.
