Job Role: Security Shift Manager
Location: The Oracle Shopping Centre
Job Role Description
- Managing with CRSM the timekeeping and attendance of the Control Room and Security team members
- Working with the wider security management team to ensure the health, safety & welfare all onsite
- Manage yours and the Security team workloads and tasks effectively, able to prioritize works, scheduled and reactive in-line with operational needs
- Manage effectively, incidents that affect Hammerson, Mitie, Occupiers and the general public
- Business Continuity, continued operation of the Security team and shopping centre following agreed SOPs and disaster recovery protocols
- Maintain through control room operations the Hammerson site and building security, and safety at all times
- Providing a professional and high standard of response to all telephone and email enquiries
- Leadership of the Mitie Security team on duty ensuring all issues are dealt with correctly
- Identify training and development needs of members of the Security team and work with the wider security management team to coordinate training implementation
- As part of the wider security management team provide supervision & support for all Mitie on site personnel
- Provide timely and effective communication to all within the business including as relevant, the centre manager, duty manager, wider management team and Mitie senior management on:
- Incidents that occur on or affect the Centre
- Update and collate incident information, Daily Reports and other analytic reporting systems that are in use
- Serious incident tracking, reporting and management
- Absence & lateness reporting
- Ensure all incidents are logged and managed effectively through to completion
- Ensure logging of incidents and crimes with TVP when required
- Effectively communicate business issues to the relevant centre departments
- Maintain the standards of the Security for access / egress for staff, contractors and visitors using systems, SOP and other agreed processes available
- Carry out/ensure effective and efficient patrols are undertaken to aid with Compliance, crime prevention and safety of all staff, contractors and visitors across the entire site
- To be fully conversant with the methods of the working of all security related systems and to ensure that it is of a standard and quality commensurate with the requirements of the property and operation
- Ensure that all Security staff receive the required level of supervision
- Ensure that all Security staff have read, understood and signed all relevant SOP and Risk Assessments
- Ensure that complete and updated SOP and RA are being followed. Where site or procedure instructions are not being followed, ensure that corrective actions are raised.
- Handle all day-to-day enquiries which arise from whatever source in respect of the daily operation of the security of the centre.
- To develop and maintain good working relations with applicable local agencies and services, police etc.
- Undertake and action, to the required standard any reasonable request from management or client.
- Completion and checking of all accident and Health and Safety reports, and uploading to reporting systems
- Ensure the issue of keys is in line with procedure and fully auditable
- Undertake performance reviews and performance appraisals of those within the Security team to aid with individual staff development, career progression and service delivery
