About Us
Dyson is a global technology enterprise. We solve the problems others choose to ignore, with surprising new inventions that defy convention and simply work better. We’re driven by progress and thrive on the challenge of relentless improvement. We’re growing fast and our ambition is huge – more categories, more locations, and more people.
Pioneering technology takes more than just inventive engineers. At Dyson, we take a problem-solving approach to everything we do. And across our support teams, we’re proud to be different. And importantly, we support change to maintain our rapid growth.
About The Role
Your contributions will be essential to our security framework, as you collaborate closely with the day officer teams. You will take charge of comprehensive control and monitoring of physical access, along with executing thorough internal, external, perimeter, car park, and ad-hoc patrols.
You will be operating and overseeing a fully functional Monitoring Centre and CCTV system, while also managing a card access control system. Swift and effective responses will define your approach to incidents, as you step into the role of Chief Fire Marshal at incident control points, especially during fire register consolidation. Beyond the confines of the site, you will serve as a responsive unit for off-site locations, extending our security presence.
You will be enhancing visitor and VIP experiences through dedicated support of front-of-house services, ensuring optimal efficiency. Furthermore, you will assume a vital position as Reception in specific high-security buildings during out-of-hours or as directed, bolstering site-wide security measures.
In addition to supporting investigations and ensuring the integrity of evidence chains, you will conduct thorough searches when required – covering bags, vehicles, transit cases, and various containers. Your role extends to providing security assistance during events, functions, and gatherings, and you will be equipped to administer first aid or CPR as needed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
