Security Supervisor

Location: Newbury RG14 2LX
Pay: £14.82 per hour
Shift: Mon-Thurs, 07:00 - 19:00

What’s the Job?

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team in Newbury. Your role will be to lead a team of security personnel, ensuring that our premises, staff, visitors, and assets are always safe and secure. You’ll be the first point of contact for any security-related issues, managing incidents, and maintaining a professional environment. Your leadership will help shape a positive, vigilant, and solution-driven team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience: At least 1 year as a Security Supervisor
  • Leadership: You should be confident in managing teams and leading by example
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills are a must; you're the eyes and ears of the team
  • Professionalism: A strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
  • Problem-solving: You should be quick on your feet, making decisions when needed
  • IT Skills: Ability to operate security systems and emergency equipment

Your Day-to-Day:

You’ll supervise the security team, ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of safety. This will involve everything from conducting foot patrols to managing emergencies and responding to alarms. Your leadership will guide your team to stay on track, provide training, and maintain accurate records. And of course, you’ll be the key point of contact for staff and visitors, ensuring a professional, welcoming environment always.
