Role: Security Systems Engineer

Location: Outskirts of Swanley (Covering London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Essex)

Salary: GBP32,000 - GBP45,000 DOE + Company Van + Fuel Card + Mobile + Laptop + On-Call Allowance

Core Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

KHR is working with a well-established and highly respected security systems specialist to recruit an experienced Security Systems Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that delivers high-quality security and fire solutions to clients across the South East.

The successful candidate will have a strong background servicing, fault-finding, and maintaining a range of security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, and other similar systems. You'll be confident working independently, delivering excellent customer service, and travelling throughout London and the surrounding counties.

Security Systems Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and fault-find on a wide range of fire and electronic security systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption for customers.
  • Provide technical support and advice to both customers and internal office staff.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota (1 in 4, standby bonus offered), attending emergency call-outs and providing telephone support when required.
  • Assist with the ongoing training and development of less experienced engineers where appropriate.
  • Identify installation or servicing issues and report any non-conformances in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Accurately complete service documentation and maintain company records using electronic devices.
  • Work safely and professionally, complying with industry standards and health and safety requirements.

Security Systems Engineer Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience servicing and maintaining electronic security systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Fire Alarms, and other similar systems.
  • Experience working across a variety of brands.
  • A good understanding of IP networking and integrated security systems.
  • ECS Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to successfully pass DBS and security screening.
  • Excellent fault-finding, communication, and customer service skills.
