Security Vetting & Pass Officer

What you'll be doing

As a Security Vetting and Pass Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting the people, information and assets of the House of Commons by supporting the delivery of personnel security across the UK Parliament.

Working across both security vetting administration and front-facing pass issuing, you'll process vetting applications, verify identity documents, issue parliamentary passes and provide expert guidance to a wide range of stakeholders, including Members, Peers, staff and contractors. This is a varied role that combines accuracy, customer service and problem-solving, making every day different.

You'll develop specialist knowledge in personnel security while working with evolving digital systems as part of an ambitious modernisation programme. If you enjoy detail-focused work, building trusted relationships and contributing to the security of one of the UK's most recognisable institutions, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
