Security Vulnerability Management Lead

Location: Guildford (1 day a week in office)
Salary: Up to £80,000 base + package

We're looking for a Security Vulnerability Management Engineer to join a high-profile cyber defence programme, helping to protect complex enterprise environments across cloud and on-premise infrastructure. This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing and delivering vulnerability management capabilities within a sophisticated Security Operations Centre (SOC) environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing, deploying and configuring Vulnerability Management solutions such as Nessus.
  • Implementing risk-based vulnerability assessment frameworks, workflows and reporting.
  • Integrating vulnerability management platforms with SIEM, case management and asset management tools.
  • Supporting deployments across cloud, containerised and on-premise environments.
  • Defining infrastructure requirements and ensuring solutions are deployed in a scalable, performant manner.
  • Developing test procedures to validate functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Reviewing technical documentation including design, deployment and administration guides.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to enhance cyber defence capabilities and operational effectiveness.
  • Providing technical expertise on cyber threats, threat intelligence and security best practices.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' commercial experience in security vulnerability management
  • Strong experience designing, deploying and operating Vulnerability Management platforms (ideally Nessus).
  • Experience integrating security tooling with SIEM and broader security operations ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking and security architecture.
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence, threat actors, TTPs and vulnerability remediation processes.
  • Experience working across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to work within highly secure environments and handle sensitive information.
  • Self-motivated individual with a problem-solving mindset and a passion for cyber security.
