We need people who are self-motivated and skilled in research and writing reports. The role is in the Subsea telecoms sector and is for placements with a major cable manufacturer.
The position involves researching and producing reports / desktop studies for their subsea cable routes and landing sites. The requirement being to produce studies of the seabed and marine environment along proposed submarine cable routes including citing references and generating figures to support the findings.
Successful candidates will be mentored to bring them up to speed but must be self-motivated and able to submit reports on time as required.

The need is immediate and for a full-time position. GIS skills (e.g., ArcPro) are a plus. Standard site information and programs used (Arc GIS, Total Tide, etc.) will be supplied.
- Initial term: 4 to 8 months initially, to be possibly extended further
- Pay: Hourly rate payable depending on experience/suitability
- Location: These are work from home positions for ongoing projects – Open to suitable candidates worldwide with the right experience.
Qualifications

A background in technical writing is required in one or more of these marine disciplines:
- Oceanography
- Geology
- Fisheries
- Hydrology
- Meteorology

A background in DTS for submarine cables would be beneficial.
