The Role

We are looking for candidates to assist and support activities on site or with the Plant depot, by undertaking labouring tasks, such as establish/remove temporary fencing, moving equipment around site, operating sampling equipment, excavation of hand dug pits, and laying / lifting grouting lines.

What You'll Be Doing

Working away Monday to Friday, on sites across the UK, you will be part of the operational site team delivering works for our Clients.

Responsible for safely undertaking a range of duties to support the site team, including:

  • Excavation: Digging trial pits and trenches to allow engineers to inspect ground strata.
  • Rig Assistance: Helping drillers move, set up, and operate cable percussion or rotary drilling equipment, alongside loading of materials in grout mixer, mixing of grout and placement of grout (including grout take records).
  • Sampling: Packing soil, rock, grout and water samples into appropriate containers for laboratory testing and the installation of monitoring equipment into borehole (e.g. standpipes, piezometers etc)
  • Maintenance: Maintaining of work areas, clearing spoil, slurry and waste materials.
  • Safety & Standards: Maintaining site security, managing materials, organisation of tools, fuel, equipment and materials, and adhering strictly to health and safety protocols and RAMS.

What We’re Looking For

You will need to hold an appropriate CSCS card (Minimum Green CSCS labourer card), and be able to work to a defined health and safety management system, with an understanding of what is required from yourself and other colleagues.

You will need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

You should be prepared for a variety of workloads from general routine jobs, to task that carry out responsibility. You should have good planning and organisation skills, and need to have excellent problem solving skills, use your own initiative, have great attention to detail, excellent communication skills, a professional approach and good customer-service focus.
