About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team on a permanent basis (initially trustwide with relocation to Scrabo ARD upon confirmation of selection).
This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a diverse appointment range, including but not limited to:
- Primary Care Trust (PCT) and community partnerships
- In-patient settings
- Out-patient roles
- Mental Health provision
- Children’s Services
Responsibilities
Nichols diseño Senior Occupational Therapist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working at clinical Band 8a level, with responsibility and accountability for independent decision-making.
- Managing work flow, human and material resources, and ensuring promotion of quality and cost-effectiveness within duty of care.
- Delivering safe, safe, and compassionate care in line with policy and procedures.
- Developing advanced practice knowledge, auditing own practice, and sharing expertise to deliver high-quality services.
- Working within a wide range of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings, facilitating respectful and professional working practices.
- Supervision, guidance, and mentoring of junior therapists and my support.
- Participating in training and education, ensuring compliance with the new COT Continuing Competency Framework (CCF).
- Supporting the development of the service, advocating, prioritising, and liaising with staff and professionals to maintain high standards.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be an Accredited Registrant with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and hold or be eligible to obtain registration with the Council for Occupational Therapy (COT).
Key Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated competence in occupational therapy assessment and intervention across various clinical domains.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary settings and with diverse populations (adults, children, mental health, etc.).
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor, supervise, and contribute to service development.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and engagement with training needs.
