About the Role
Are you a passionate and credible recruitment professional looking to take the next step into inhouse recruitment? At SSL, we’re looking for someone who wants to build meaningful relationships, influence hiring outcomes, and help shape how we deliver recruitment services to our clients.

This role is a full-time 12m FTC position with hybrid working – you’ll be based in Newport, working in the office 2 days per week, with the rest from home.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and Resourcing and HR teams, acting as a trusted partner.
- Screen, interview, and assess high volumes of candidates, providing quality shortlists and insights to hiring managers.
- Manage multiple recruitment campaigns, ensuring a smooth and efficient candidate experience.
- Develop relationships with clients and collaborators to support long-term service delivery and business goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and contribute to service improvements.
- Use data and insights to support decision-making and improve time-to-hire metrics.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience delivering recruitment services in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
- Proven ability to handle high-volume recruitment activity while maintaining quality outcomes.
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and building effective working relationships.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, using data to support recruitment decisions.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and take ownership of your workload.
- Experience working within a recruitment environment.
It Would Be Great If You Had
- Experience using online Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Experience recruiting within a UK Government environment.
- Understanding of the Government Shared Services model.

Employment Details
- Employment Type: Full-time, 12m Fixed Term Contract.
- Location: Newport – hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office.
- Security Clearance Level: SC.
- Internal Recruiter: Becky.
- Salary: £27,781pa
- Benefits: 25 days annual leave with the choice to buy additional days, health cash plan, life assurance, and pension.
