Self Care Technical Product Owner (iD Mobile)
Currys London Campus at Waterloo

Full Time
Grade 4
We’re iD Mobile, one of the UK’s leading mobile virtual network operators. We launched in May 2015 and have over 2.5 million Pay Monthly customers. We’re pretty sure our success has a lot to do with our wide range of feature-packed plans. We offer everything from super-value Pay-as-you-go and SIM-only deals, right up to the latest smartphones from the big-name manufacturers. We’re delighted about our success so far and have very ambitious plans for the future.
iD Mobile is an exciting place to work. We’re a relatively young and dynamic start-up, and we value innovation, imagination, and creativity. If you’ve got a great idea, we’ll help you run with it. We’re passionate about finding new ways to address our customers’ needs. We’re a little different to other start-ups, though, because we’re part of Currys PLC, Europe's leading electrical and mobile retailer. So, while iD Mobile has only been going for a few years, we’re part of a much bigger family.
The Technical Product Owner will lead the development of our customer SelfCare application for managing telecom subscriptions. The role requires strong technical acumen across APIs and microservices, combined with deep understanding of subscription lifecycle management in a telco environment. You will own the product backlog, define scalable digital journeys, and work closely with engineering, architecture, and commercial teams to deliver seamless, high-adoption self-service experiences.
You will join a team of developers and testers and will interact closely with one or more product managers. The aim of this team is to continuously improve the services provided by our MVNO. You will further support and enable the business owners in jointly agreeing sprint content and liaises with subject matter experts and stakeholders across the businesses, to understand, articulate and prioritise the backlog and roadmap requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
