Location: As a self-employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor, you will have the flexibility to work independently, with optional access to our Colchester office.

Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated, experienced Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor to work with a growing property services group and leverages LRG’s lending and referral networks. This role is ideal for someone eager to maximise earning potential, build their own client base and work as part of a supported yet autonomous network under Mortgage Advice Bureau.

Key duties include:
- Providing whole-of-market mortgage advice across a broad client base
- Delivering tailored protection advice (Life, Critical Illness, Income Protection, etc.)
- Managing the entire client journey — from first enquiry to completion
- Generating and developing their own leads, alongside utilising allocated lead sources
- Building and maintaining relationships with estate agents, solicitors and introducers
- Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and LRG internal procedures
- Maintaining accurate client records, notes and reporting
- Delivering an exceptional client experience to encourage repeat business and referrals
Skills & Qualifications
- CeMAP-qualified (or equivalent) with a valid CAS certificate
- Strong background in mortgage and protection advice
- Deep residential, buy-to-let and remortgage market knowledge
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on growth
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised, professional, and client-focused
