Role Description

This is a contract, on-site Self-Employed Tradesman role based in Oxfordshire, VA. The tradesperson will carry out dry lining, fit-out, and refurbishment tasks, including installation of partitions, ceilings, and associated finishes to project specifications.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Reading and following plans
  • Coordinating with site supervisors
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe work area

The role involves using appropriate tools and materials, adhering to safety regulations, and communicating effectively with other site workers and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical skills and experience in dry lining, fit-out, and refurbishment work.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety, ideally with awareness of SafeContractor or similar standards.
  • Reliable own transport, tools, and appropriate work clothing/PPE.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with site teams and supervisors.
  • Proven ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work independently as a self-employed contractor.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeships are beneficial but not essential if experience is strong.
  • Right to work in the location and willingness to work on-site throughout the contract period.
