About the Role
UCS College Group (“UCS”) operates an Ofsted graded Outstanding provision for NEET and SEMH learners at Cannington College, within a dedicated and bespoke site known as Crockers. This specialised provision offers tailored and supported pathways for complex and vulnerable learners, enabling them to engage in education in a setting that meets their individual needs. The impact of this provision is both transformational for learners and highly beneficial to reducing risk and increasing positive contributions within the local community.
The provision at Crockers uses a highly practical and engaging curriculum to educate and re-engage learners who may have experienced multiple exclusions, poor attendance, learning within an alternative provision, in the care of the local authority or who have been out of formal education for a significant period of time.
What We Offer
This is an exciting time to join a highly skilled and experienced team with an unprecedented track record of Ofsted Outstanding judgements. You will course lead a curriculum and work closely and consistently with students to re-engage them in education through a practical, nurturing and relational approach while supporting them to reduce risk-related behaviours.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
