SEMH Humanities Teacher Job - Warwick, Warwickshire

Luma Education Recruitment is recruiting for a SEMH Humanities Teacher to join a well-established specialist school in Warwick, Warwickshire on a temp-to-perm basis.

This rewarding Humanities Teacher job is suitable for teachers with experience delivering History, Geography and/or Religious Education (RE) at either primary or secondary level. If you're passionate about inspiring young people and making a meaningful difference, we'd love to hear from you.

The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and provides a welcoming, supportive environment where both staff and pupils can thrive. With small class sizes, experienced teaching assistants and an approachable leadership team, you'll have the time and support to build positive relationships and deliver engaging lessons.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons, including History, Geography and/or Religious Education.
  • Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Create a structured, calm and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, resilience and engagement in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and senior leaders to support pupil progress.
  • Inspire curiosity and develop pupils' understanding of the world around them.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Humanities in UK schools
  • Applications welcome from teachers with primary or secondary teaching backgrounds
  • Strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills
  • A positive, resilient and flexible approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Experience within SEMH, SEND, Alternative Provision (AP), PRU or Special Education is welcomed but not essential if you have strong classroom management and a passion for supporting young people.
