SEMH Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision Support
Location: Hounslow
Contract: September 2026
Are you an emotionally intelligent, flexible, and charismatic individual seeking a role supporting vulnerable children as a SEMH Teaching Assistant?
A rapidly expanding Alternative Provision in Hounslow is seeking a graduate to join their team as a SEMH Teaching Assistant, working with students who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Autism, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you’ll support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups of up to six students, helping them to engage with learning and develop essential life and social skills.

SEMH Teaching Assistant - Key responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs Supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioural issues Assisting teachers across a range of subjects and activities Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and personal growth
