Semi-skilled Groundworker/Labourer – Permanent, Full-Time Position (Gloucester)
Company Description MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd specialises in delivering comprehensive pollution response services tailored for the insurance sector, preventing risks to the environment, drinking water supplies, and public health. Their expertise spans industries including finance, insurance, petrochemicals, and the Ministry of Defence.
About the Role
We are seeking a Semi-Skilled Groundworker/Labourer to join our team in Gloucester, supporting our work on residential oil spill projects and ensuring timely environmental restoration and safety compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out site works following safety protocols, including adherence to the Construction Phase Plan and Health & Safety Policy.
- Assist the Senior Technician/General Builder with a range of manual tasks and operational duties.
- Support compliance with our ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
- Perform additional roles or tasks as directed by Top Management (where required).

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled construction role, including:
- Hand digging
- Groundwork activities
- Laying drainage
- Concreting
- Ability to operate a mini digger/dumper (preferable but not mandatory).
- Essential:
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and work away from home during the week when necessary.
