Semi-skilled Tradesperson
Semi-Skilled Tradesperson – Void Properties Preparation
We are looking for a positive, flexible, and reliable Semi-skilled tradesperson to join our team, working primarily within void properties to prepare homes for new tenants. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone with practical skills across multiple trades.
About the Role
While working predominantly on your own, you will also collaborate with multi-skilled colleagues to undertake tasks such as:
- Filling, painting, wallpaper stripping
- External garden works, clearing, and deep cleaning
- Moving, removing, and handling bulky items
- Supporting with heavy lifts when required
As part of an integral void service, your work must meet tight timescales to align with customer expectations. This demand-led role requires flexibility in terms of hours and duties, ensuring smooth operation of York’s void management process.

You’ll thrive if your background includes:
- Experience in a similar multi-trade or maintenance role, with basic skills across various trades
- Knowledge and ability to uphold Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
- Expertise in clearing, preparing, and cleaning void properties
A full clean driving licence is mandatory.
