SEN Art Teacher

SEN Art Teacher – Camden – Immediate Start

This specialist SEND school in the London Borough of Camden is seeking a creative and passionate SEN Art Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis.

Supporting secondary-aged pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, and associated communication needs, the school provides a highly inclusive learning environment where creativity is used to develop confidence, communication, and independence. With small class sizes, excellent staff-to-pupil ratios, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, the school is committed to helping every pupil achieve meaningful progress.

What the Role Involves

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Art lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs, adapting learning to suit individual EHCP outcomes and learning profiles
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff
  • Use creative learning to promote communication, self-expression, and emotional wellbeing while helping pupils develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom

What the School is Looking For

The ideal SEN Art Teacher will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Art at secondary level. Previous experience within a SEND school, specialist provision, or inclusive mainstream setting would be highly advantageous, though mainstream teachers with a genuine passion for SEND are encouraged to apply.
