Salary: £28,000 - £39,520 per annum
Contract: Full-Time | Term Time Only
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are excited to welcome a passionate and dedicated SEN Class Teacher to Sutherland Hall School in Tamworth.
Our specialist school will support up to 78 pupils aged 5-18 with a range of complex additional needs, providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. We believe that outstanding education goes hand in hand with emotional wellbeing, personal growth, and positive relationships.

Role
As an SEN Class Teacher, you will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire learning while meeting the individual needs of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

- Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and tailored to meet individual pupil needs
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs through positive, relationship-based approaches
- Working alongside the classroom team to promote engagement, learning, and positive behaviour
- Monitoring pupil progress and communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure appropriate support is in place
- Supervising pupils during breaktimes, educational visits, and extracurricular activities
- Building positive relationships that encourage confidence, resilience, and successful learning outcomes
You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree-level qualification
- Successful classroom teaching experience
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH within an educational setting
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
- A willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check prior to employment
