SENCO Lambeth September

Are you an experienced and passionate SENCO looking for your next leadership opportunity within a supportive secondary school? This SENCO role in Lambeth offers the opportunity to lead and develop SEND provision within an ambitious school committed to ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Located in Lambeth, with excellent transport links across South London and Central London.

Role Overview:

  • SENCO will lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the secondary school
  • Oversee the identification, assessment and support of pupils with additional needs
  • Manage EHCP processes and ensure effective provision is in place
  • SENCO will work closely with teachers to develop inclusive classroom practice
  • Support staff training and promote strong SEND awareness across the school
  • Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals to support pupil progress
  • SENCO will monitor outcomes and ensure interventions are effective

Requirements:

  • SENCO applicants must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A recognised SENCO qualification (NASENCO) or working towards it is desirable
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND within a secondary setting is essential
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCPs and safeguarding procedures is required
  • SENCO candidates should demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for young people is essential
