SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

September 2026 to July 2027 | £85 - £101 per day ‘Outstanding’ primary school, Ward of Yardley One-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs

About the Role

Support pupils with additional needs through 1:1 interventions and structured group work, helping them develop confidence, engage with learning, and follow routines across the school day.

  • Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement and monitor tailored support strategies
  • Assist in differentiated learning, social skill building, and emotional regulation where required
  • Play a key role in graduated response frameworks to identify and evaluate support needs
  • Contribute to a school recognised for its inclusive practices and dedication to SEND provision

The Candidate

You are:

  • Calm, patient, and observant, with an aptitude for building trust through consistency and clear communication
  • Passionate about practical, hands-on education experience, particularly in special educational needs
  • Seeking experience in either:
    • Primary school teaching
    • Educational psychology
    • Clinical psychology training pathways
  • Committed to supporting dysregulated behaviour, communication delays, and social-emotional learning needs

Requirements
