About the Role

At Penny Tree School, we believe every young person deserves an education that inspires them to explore the world, discover their strengths and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

We're looking for a passionate and engaging SEN Humanities Instructor to join our dedicated team, bringing History, Geography and the wider Humanities to life for pupils with additional needs. If you're creative, enthusiastic and thrive on building meaningful relationships with young people, this is your opportunity to make a lasting difference.

Working in small classes with the support of a skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll have the freedom to deliver engaging, personalised learning that builds confidence, develops life skills and helps pupils rediscover a love of learning. Every day is different, every achievement is celebrated, and every lesson has the power to change a life.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging Humanities lessons to individuals and small groups, making learning relevant, interactive and enjoyable.
  • Adapt learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND, helping every learner achieve meaningful progress.
  • Inspire curiosity through History, Geography and wider Humanities topics that encourage exploration and discussion.
  • Support pupils' confidence, emotional wellbeing and personal development through nurturing, relationship-based practice.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to personalised learning plans, behaviour support plans and individual education pathways.
  • Create stimulating learning environments that encourage independence, creativity and positive engagement.
  • Work closely with Learning Support Assistants, teachers, therapists and the wider school team to provide consistent support.
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of pupils both in school and during educational visits.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
