Long:Term Opportunities: If you prefer stability, we have fixed:term roles spanning a term or a full academic year. This is the perfect way to truly embed yourself within a local specialist team, lead a specific class, and see your pupils make meaningful developmental and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Adapt and deliver creative, sensory:friendly lessons that cater to a wide range of cognitive and physical abilities.
- Work closely alongside individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure every childs learning, communication, and emotional targets are met.
- Lead and collaborate effectively with a dedicated team of SEN Teaching Assistants within your classroom to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
- Utilize positive behaviour management and alternative communication strategies (e.g., visual schedules, PECS) to engage and motivate learners.
What We Look For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience teaching or supporting children with special educational needs within a primary framework.
- A nurturing, highly patient, and resilient approach to classroom management.
- An adaptable professional demeanour, ready to hit the ground running in new school environments.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
