Teaching Assistant

Job Overview

Philosophy Education has an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and efficient individual to join us in the role of Teaching Assistant. This role will suit both experienced Teaching Assistants (TAs) and is also suitable for graduates looking to gain first-hand experience with a view to commencing Teacher Training with us in the future.

We are keen to hear from candidates who have previous experience working with pupils who have a diagnosis of:

  • ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
  • ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
  • SLCN (Speech, Language & Communication Needs)

Successful candidates may:

  • Work 1:1 with selected students
  • Support small groups in mainstream classes and the inclusion area via intervention sessions

What are we looking for in you?

It is preferable (but not essential) for applicants to have:

  • Previous experience of working with young people

You will be educated to:

  • GCSE level (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy
