SEN Teaching Assistant

Start Date: September 2026 Location: Ealing Contract: Full-time Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in Ealing from September 2026? Teach Plus is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with physical needs, cognitive and speech and language needs.

This full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on a child's academic, social, and emotional development while working alongside a highly supportive team. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will play a key role in helping a pupil access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

This SEN Teaching Assistant position would suit a compassionate, patient and nurturing individual who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support a pupil with physical needs, cognitive and speech and language needs on a one to one base, support with personal care would be required for this role
  • Implement individual education plans and targeted intervention programmes to support pupil progress
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to meet pupils' individual needs
  • Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Promote independence and confidence within the classroom environment
  • Adapt learning resources and activities to ensure all pupils can participate and achieve success

  • Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
