Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated TA to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' educational and personal development, working closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning experience tailored to each child's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN in various subjects and activities.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.
  • Help manage behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor and report on students' progress and well-being.
  • Support students in developing social skills and participating in school activities.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing learning materials and organizing classroom resources.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
  • Must be able to drive and have access to a reliable vehicle for commuting and potential off-site activities.

Desirable

  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
  • First Aid certification.
