Are you an experienced, passionate, and creative SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with complex needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a vibrant and well-resourced specialist school for students aged 4-19 with a range of learning differences.

The Role

You will be leading a class of 8 students aged 12-15 years, all working at a V2-V4. The students have a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition, Global Developmental Delay, and associated conditions. Some present with behaviours that challenge, but all are supported by well-established systems and a skilled multidisciplinary team.

Your Classroom Will Include

  • Students who are mostly non-verbal and communicate using body language, facial expressions, PECS, AAC devices, and visual supports.
  • A highly structured learning environment with the use of visual timetables, Now and Next boards, sensory stories, intensive interaction, and other specialist strategies.
  • A focus on delivering a personalised curriculum including core subjects through creative, multi-sensory, and practical approaches.
  • A strong emphasis on communication, emotional regulation, and life skills development.

What We're Looking For

  • A qualified SEN teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong interest in working with pupils with SEND, especially those with autism and complex learning needs
  • Someone who is proactive, flexible, and passionate about inclusive education
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a nurturing and resilient attitude
