SEN Teacher

Requirements for the SEND Tutor/Teacher Role

✅ Experience & Knowledge

• 2+ years’ teaching experience, ideally with:

  • SENH (Special Educational Needs & Histories)
  • SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD (Moderate/Severe/Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties) • Demonstrated trauma-informed approach to holistic learning • Experience working with at-risk, disengaged, or vulnerable learners

🔢 Qualifications

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS • Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this) • 2+ professional references (including educator/employer thoughts on your work)

⚠️ Location & Compliance

• Must be UK-based and have the right to work lawfully in the UK • Location options are fixed postcodes OR advertised within 45 minutes’ drive

🛡️ Safeguarding

• Evidence of SAFEGUARDING knowledge and ability to create a secure learning environment

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise in Maths, English, or Science provide personalised one-to-one tutoring tailored to:

  • SEMH Needs
  • SEND (MLD, SLD, PMLD, ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, etc)
  • KS1 through to KS5 (depending your specialty) • Engage with remote/hybrid/in-person pupils referred by schools and local authorities • Plan and report on lessons backed by joint collaboration with families • Volunteer with a network that continuously supports vulnerable learners and educators alike

Our focus is on raising teaching standards and empowering education for SEND and SEMH young people.
