Located in Northwich, Northwich School accommodates up to 100 pupils and provides a safe, supportive environment for children aged 5 to 16, many with complex needs. Role Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, tailored to meet pupils’ complex SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs
- Support the class team in facilitating meaningful learning, promoting positive behaviours
- Report on pupils’ progress and concerns, liaising with school staff to ensure needs are addressed
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips
- Build positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and learning outcomes
Requirements
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree-level education qualification required
- Proven teaching experience in a school setting
- Experience working with pupils who have SEMH needs within education
- Familiarity with behaviour management techniques
- Committed to professional development and continuous learning
- Willingness to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting
