SEN Teacher

Role Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, tailored to meet pupils’ complex SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs
  • Support the class team in facilitating meaningful learning, promoting positive behaviours
  • Report on pupils’ progress and concerns, liaising with school staff to ensure needs are addressed
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and learning outcomes

Requirements

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree-level education qualification required
  • Proven teaching experience in a school setting
  • Experience working with pupils who have SEMH needs within education
  • Familiarity with behaviour management techniques
  • Committed to professional development and continuous learning
  • Willingness to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting
