SEN Teacher

Reeson Education is delighted to be partnering with a vibrant and inclusive Mainstream Primary School in Kingston Upon Thames to recruit a dedicated Primary Resource Base Teacher.

This is a unique opportunity to join a specialist provision within a mainstream setting. Our Resource Base is designed for pupils who benefit from a high level of specialist support while remaining an integral part of our warm school community. If you are passionate about bridging the gap between specialist and mainstream education, this is the role for you.

The Role: Primary Resource Base Lead

You will be responsible for leading a small, nurturing class of primary-aged pupils (EYFS:KS2) who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Social Communication needs.

The Resource Base serves as a hub of expertise. You will create a structured environment that allows pupils to access a specialist curriculum while supporting their successful inclusion into mainstream classes where appropriate. You will be supported by a dedicated team of specialist Teaching Assistants.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Differentiated Primary Delivery: Plan and deliver a highly personalised curriculum that focuses on the core primary framework, adapted for learners with ASD and communication difficulties.
  • Inclusion Advocacy: Work closely with mainstream class teachers to facilitate successful step-out opportunities, ensuring pupils feel confident in the wider school environment.
  • EHCP Management: Lead the implementation and tracking of EHCP targets, ensuring every small step of progress is celebrated and documented.
  • Therapeutic Collaboration: Partner with the SENCO, Speech and Language Therapists, and Occupational Therapists to integrate specialist strategies into daily classroom life.
  • Nurturing Environment: Use visual schedules, sensory breaks, and positive behavior support to create a low-arousal space where pupils feel safe to learn.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
