Job Details
- Location: Miller House School, Stoneygate, Leicester LE2 2NB
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
- Salary: Up to £42,500 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
- Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
- Start Date: September 2026

At Miller House School, we’re looking for an exceptional SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team and help shape brighter futures for pupils with SEMH, Autism, and ADHD.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons that engage and inspire pupils with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD
- Adapt teaching approaches using inclusive, sensory, and structured strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families for a consistent, holistic approach
- Monitor, assess, and celebrate pupil progress, achieving EHCP outcomes and individual targets
- Encourage independence, communication, and self-confidence through positive relationships and nurturing practice
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation to equip pupils for success
- Create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment
- Contribute to the school’s growth, lifestyle, and continuous development

Requirements
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and newly qualified teachers are warmly welcomed
- Has a recognised degree
- Is passionate about inclusive education
- Has experience or interest in supporting pupils with autism, communication differences, and complex learning needs
- Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Brings creativity, patience, and resilience to teaching practice
- Enjoys collaborative teamwork within a supportive multidisciplinary environment
- Is reflective, motivated, and committed to continuous professional development
- Holds a Full UK driving licence
About Us
Miller House School is a brand-new, specialist SEMH setting located in Stoneygate, Leicester, designed for young people aged 11–16. With a capacity of 80 pupils, we offer a nurturing co-educational environment for students with complex needs.
