SEN Teacher (Key Stage 3 Modified Curriculum)
Role Summary
Permanent, Full-Time (Monday-Friday: 08:30am – 17:00pm) Ideal salary dependent on experience Starting: Autumn Term 2026
We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher, experienced in teaching a range of subjects, to join our Key Stage 3 (Years 7 & 8) team. You will work with pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN), delivering a modified version of the National Curriculum in a multisensory, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a class of approximately 8 pupils with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
- Support pupils alongside:
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Arts Therapists
- Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)

For This Role, You Should Be:
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Experience delivering a modified KS3 curriculum using multisensory teaching methods.
- Excellent command of English, including spoken, written, reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
- Experience working within Special Educational Needs (SEN), with a focus on SLCN.
- Ability to build strong relationships with:
- Pupils
- Teaching staff
- Parents and carers
Desirable Skills
- Experience managing challenging behaviour in a therapeutic setting.
- Ability to manage small groups of children with complex social communication needs.
- Strong mental and physical resilience to meet the demands of the role.
