Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve:
- Assisting students in their educational and social development
- Supporting in and out of the classroom
- Maximising engagement in a wide range of activities
- Planning and adapting activities to meet individual needs
- Utilising technology or modifying environments where necessary
- Supporting teachers with:
- Establishing positive learning environments
- Engaging students and reinforcing classroom routines
- Implementing behavioural management strategies
- Providing 1:1 support to ensure students receive targeted assistance
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Have experience working with children who have behavioural support needs, including strong knowledge of behavioural management techniques
- Hold/be eligible for Grade C/Level 4 or above in:
- GCSE English and Maths
- OR Level 1/2 equivalent Functional Skills qualifications
- Hold or be committed to obtaining a recognised teaching assistant qualification
