About the Role Holme Hall Primary School is a warm and inviting environment where high expectations have always been—and continue to be—the foundation for every pupil’s success. Our dedicated team delivers a broad, inclusive curriculum that nurtures the development of every child as a whole person.

Currently, we are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) with a specific focus on supporting children with SEND and opportunity-based assistance within the classroom.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a dynamic role in the classroom, including:

  • Supporting children with SEND and those with Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Working collaboratively within the school team
  • Pre- and post-lesson preparation, including customising learning materials to cater for individual needs
  • Assisting with physical, emotional, and social welfare, including first aid duties
  • Practicing creative and innovative approaches to learning
  • Adhering to high expectations in achievement and behaviour
  • Promoting and upholding the school’s values and ethos, including fostering an inclusive environment for all pupils
  • Approaching complex challenges with initiative, assessing pupils’ needs, and supporting effective interventions
  • Leading small-group intervention sessions as required

Person Specification

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and nurturing professional with the following qualities:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND (a definite advantage)
  • Strong teamwork ethos and flexibility to adapt to diverse needs
  • Commitment to ensuring every child achieves their personal best
  • Enthusiasm for working alongside teachers to diverse and engaging lessons
  • Expertise in delivering 1:1 or small-group support, inclusively
  • Strong sense of care and safe nurturing presence
  • Willingness to never stop learning and continuously develop your practice
