SEMH Teaching Assistant: Littlehampton


Salary & Contract

  • £93–£100 per day (12-week placement)
  • £22,000–£23,500 per annum (upon permanent transfer)
  • Monday–Friday, 8:15am–3:30pm

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential?

We are recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Littlehampton, supporting primary and secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This specialist setting provides:

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs in- and out-of-the-classroom
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Foster strong relationships as a positive role model
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to help pupils succeed

Requirements

  • Experience working with children, young people (education, care, youth work, etc.)
  • GCSE Maths and English (required)
  • Right to work in the UK (or valid visa)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others
