We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) who will support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will at times support wider classroom needs, including small groups and individual children.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for children with:
- SEND
- Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Work collaboratively as part of a cohesive classroom team
- Prepare and adapt learning materials to individual needs
- Oversee physical, social, and emotional well-being of children (including first aid duties)
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in enhancing learning experiences
- Set and maintain high expectations across achievement and behaviour
- Model the school’s values and ethos, ensuring inclusion and accessibility for all pupils
- Promote and nurture every child to achieve their personal best
- Support pupils with SEND in meeting their developmental goals through tailored interventions

Key Experience: ✔ Proven experience supporting children with SEND ✔ Ability to assess and evaluate pupil needs, then take progressive action ✔ Experience modifying teaching approaches to accommodate different abilities
Desirable: ✔ Prior experience leading small-group intervention sessions ✔ Knowledge of SEND strategies and EHCPs
