SEN Education Support Worker
Location: Truro, Cornwall
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Create Positive Change Through Education
An inclusive and supportive specialist education setting in Truro is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Education Support Worker to join their team. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with a range of additional learning needs, helping them build confidence, develop independence, and engage positively with their education.
Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will play an important role in creating a learning environment where students feel valued, understood, and empowered to succeed.
About The Role
As an SEN Education Support Worker, you will:
- Support students with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and communication difficulties
- Assist learners in accessing classroom activities and achieving individual learning objectives
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support tailored to each student's needs
- Encourage the development of social skills, emotional resilience, and self-confidence
- Support students during lessons, breaktimes, and educational activities
- Help implement behaviour support strategies and promote positive outcomes
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider professionals to support student progress
- Foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment
- Celebrate achievements and encourage students to reach their full potential

About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults
- Are passionate about helping others achieve their goals
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience
- Can build positive relationships and act as a trusted role model
- Work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle
- Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one
