SEN Teaching Assistant: Primary School Hackney
GBP90:GBP105 per day
Full:time September 2026 start
Monday to Friday 8:30am : 4:00pm
Make a real difference as an SEN Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hackney from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children with additional needs and wants to play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, independence, and achieve their potential.

You will be joining a collaborative team where SEN provision is highly valued and where staff are encouraged to develop their skills.
The Role
As An SEN Teaching Assistant, You Will
- Provide support to pupils with additional learning needs
- Work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Support access to lessons and classroom activities
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
- Assist with personalised learning strategies and interventions
- Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to support pupil progress

- Has previous experience working with children with SEN
- Understands the importance of patience, consistency, and encouragement
- Can support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Builds strong relationships with children quickly
- Has a positive, proactive, and caring approach
- Is confident working as part of a supportive school team
