Key Responsibilities

  • Support students in their educational and social development
  • Offer assistance inside and outside of the classroom to help them engage in learning and activities
  • Help set up adaptive activities, using technology or modifying environments to meet individual needs
  • Work alongside teachers, providing learning support while maintaining a positive, respectful classroom presence
  • Deliver 1:1 support to students requiring focused attention and assistance

Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working with children who have behavioural support needs
    • Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies
  • Qualifications:
    • Grade C or above in GCSE English and Math, or equivalent Level 1/2 Functional Skills
    • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification, or a desire to work towards one
